Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Bobby mobile application ("App") and related services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Bobby is a pet matching platform that allows pet owners to:

• Create profiles for themselves and their pets
• Connect with other pet owners in their area
• Arrange playdates and social activities for pets
• Join a community of pet enthusiasts and share experiences

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use Bobby, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. User Conduct

You agree to:

• Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
• Treat other users with respect and courtesy
• Provide truthful information about yourself and your pets
• Report any inappropriate behaviour or safety concerns

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, or harmful content
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorisation
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private information
• Upload malicious software or spam

5. Pet Safety and Interactions

Pet safety is our top priority. By using Bobby, you acknowledge that:

• You are solely responsible for your pet's safety and behaviour
• You will ensure your pet is healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations before any meetup
• You will supervise your pet during all interactions arranged through the app
• Bobby is not liable for any incidents during pet interactions

6. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content") but grant Bobby a licence to use, display, and distribute it within the Service. You represent that you have the right to post such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

Bobby's platform, features, and branding are protected by intellectual property laws and remain the property of Bobby.

7. Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Bobby, you consent to our privacy practices.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate your access to Bobby at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risks to the community. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Bobby is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Continuous or error-free service
• The accuracy of user-provided information
• Successful matches or positive outcomes
• The behaviour of other users or their pets

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bobby's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months, or $100 CAD, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Bobby harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of Canada and, where applicable, the laws of the Province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of law principles. Bobby is available to users across Canada and complies with applicable federal Canadian law.

Any disputes that require formal resolution will be heard in the courts of Ontario, Canada. This venue clause does not affect your rights under the consumer protection laws of your own province or territory.
